Renee is a self-taught artist living in Rhode Island. She has always loved crating, but when she discovered paint, something she didn’t know was inside her opened up. She loves expressing emotion and feeling through color and paint. Her ope is that her work evokes feeling and that others find something meaningful in her painting.

The ocean is Renee’s greatest muse, a primal place that has called to her. As a child, she saw the ocean only once a year, drawn to its chasing waves and sense of excitement, When she moved to Rhode Island as an adult, that childlike wonder returned. She returns to the ocean again and again because it makes her feel things: loss, joy, wonder, love. The rise of the swell pulling from the ocean floor never ceases to amaze her.

Renee will always be grateful to Mother Nature and will continue to paint her again and again.
